A few weeks ago we were lucky enough to have a client bring in a rare diesel vehicle for us to convert. Most people may have never heard of the Unimog made by Mercedes Benz. However, it's quite arguably the Swiss Army Knife of the all terrain vehicle world. For this application we installed a 25 Gallon reserve Diesel tank and converted the 60 Gallon main tank to be the vegetable oil tank. We also installed dual 1000FH thermostatically controlled veggie fuel filters with a custom rock guard. It was a pleasure to have this rare diesel in our shop!

Golden Fuel Systems is on the road again, with stops in Central Missouri, Texas and Kentucky.

On September 22 and 23 we will be at the Ozark Renewable Energy and Sustainable Living Expo. Held just 10 miles out side of Columbia, MO we are pleased to join the expo in their second year.  One of the many workshops held will be by Charles Anderson.  His topic will be "An overview of the vegetable oil as a fuel: The History, Potential, and Practical Application."

We are off to Texas the next week for the Renewable Energy Roundup and Green Living Fair.  We’ll be in Fredericksburg, TX on September 28, 29, and 30. Be sure to stop by the blue arena Sunday morning at 10am for Charles’ presentation “Using Straight Vegetable Oil as a Fuel in Modern Diesel Engines.”

October finds us in Lexington, KY at the Bluegrass Energy Expo.  We will be there October 7 and 8.  Charles will be available at the Golden Fuel Systems both to answer questions and share what he knows about using Straight Vegetable Oil as a fuel.

Charles Anderson, President of Golden Fuel Systems has been invited to represent the USA and Japan by speaking at the First International Plant Oil Congress in Erfurt Germany.  The congress will be held September 6th and 7th and will be attended by participants from all over the world.  They will gather together and discuss many of the issues facing the growing SVO industry.  On the 6th Charles will make a presentation titled: "Plant oil use in Japan and the USA: Challenges and success, past, present and future."

This is a great opportunity for those of us around the world to share what we have learned.  We would love to hear the questions you would ask if you were attending.  Either email us or leave a video response to our video on YouTube and we'll do are best to respond back.  We are taking the video camera, and look forward to giving a report when we return.

SVO/Biofuels Coop Picnic!

David Winslow, a mechanical engineer & a Biofuels enthusiestis is organizing an Orlando SVO Biodiesel Coop Picnic at Bill Fredrick Park! Charlie Anderson, President of Golden Fuel Systems will also be attending the event with family and friends picnic and visit. Just look for David's Green TDI with the license plate "Veg-Car" and also the Golden Fuel Systems White Ford Excursion with Graphics. Very hard to miss.

Since we do not know how many will show up, everyone is on their own for lunch. We will, however, provide a grill. We will find a sun shade to set up the grill. Feel free to bring your car to show off, or come to visit and learn a bit more about SVO/ biofuels.
